News I 2025 North American Clean Technology Business Delegation Successfully Concludes China Tour
From November 3 to 7, 2025, a clean technology business delegation composed of leading energy and environment companies from North America successfully completed its visit to five Chinese cities: Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Qingdao, Ningbo, and Shanghai. The North American companies are all member enterprises of the Climate Solutions Partnership. The delegation engaged in in-depth exchanges with local government authorities, industry associations, and leading enterprises, conducting technical seminars and business negotiations in cutting-edge fields such as new energy storage, hydrogen energy, clean energy materials, and zero-carbon buildings. These efforts further facilitated the application of advanced North American clean technologies across multiple regions in China, injecting new momentum into international clean technology cooperation.
The delegation brought together 13 leading North American companies in areas such as clean energy, energy storage technology, new energy vehicles, hydrogen energy applications, and environmental governance, fully demonstrating North America's strengths in clean technology innovation and industrialization, while providing diversified technical solutions for the green development of various regions in China.
November 3 – Guangzhou
On November 3, 2025, the Clean Technology Business Delegation participated in the 2025 Guangdong-U.S. Clean Technology Cooperation Conference hosted by the Department of Commerce of Guangdong Province. The conference was successfully held at the Guangzhou Baiyun International Convention Center. Leaders from the Guangdong Provincial Department of Commerce and commercial officials from the U.S. Consulate General in Guangzhou attended and delivered speeches, engaging in in-depth discussions on the market potential and cooperation prospects in the energy and environment sectors within the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. Nearly 100 representatives from energy, environmental protection, and investment institutions across Guangdong attended the conference, conducting targeted technical exchanges and business negotiations with North American companies in the fields of hydrogen energy, energy storage, and green buildings.
In the afternoon, the delegation visited the National Innovation Center of New Energy Storage to gain insights into China's latest advancements in new energy storage technology R&D, standard setting, and industrial application. The delegation then toured Yuntai Hydrogen Energy, which ranked first in China for hydrogen energy installed capacity in 2025, conducting field research on hydrogen production, storage, transportation, and application scenarios, and engaging in practical discussions on technical cooperation and market expansion within the hydrogen energy industry chain.

November 4 – Shenzhen
On November 4, the 2025 China Shenzhen-North America Clean Energy Technology Economic and Trade Cooperation Exchange Conference was held in Shenzhen. Relevant government leaders from Shenzhen attended and introduced the city's policy support and development plans for the clean energy industry, welcoming North American companies to participate in Shenzhen's green and low-carbon development. The conference attracted over 60 representatives from new energy, energy storage, and environmental protection enterprises in Shenzhen and surrounding areas, facilitating efficient supply-demand matching with the North American delegation in areas such as power battery materials, smart grids, carbon capture technology, and environmental protection technologies.
After the conference, the delegation visited Pingshan District, touring BTR (a global leader in anode materials), Shangwei Intelligent (specializing in water treatment technology), and Pingshan City Investment Group. They gained insights into the companies' experiences in clean technology R&D, production, and project operations, and explored cooperation models such as technology introduction and joint R&D.
November 5 – Qingdao
On November 5, the Qingdao-North America Energy and Environment Economic and Trade Cooperation Exchange Conference was successfully held. A leader from the Qingdao Municipal Commerce Bureau attended and delivered a speech, highlighting Qingdao's industrial advantages and cooperation opportunities in hydrogen energy, offshore wind power, and zero-carbon buildings. Representatives from over 80 enterprises in Qingdao and the Shandong Peninsula participated, engaging in in-depth discussions with the North American delegation on zero-carbon park development, waste resource utilization, and smart energy management.
In the afternoon, the delegation visited TGood's headquarters, home to the world's first ultra-tier zero-carbon building, conducting field research on technological applications in energy self-sufficiency, intelligent control, and carbon reduction. The delegation then toured Haier Group to explore its innovative practices in green appliances, industrial internet, and carbon neutrality integration, discussing technical cooperation in smart manufacturing and low-carbon transformation.
November 6 – Ningbo
On November 6, the Ningbo-North America Clean Technology Enterprise Matchmaking Conference was held in Ningbo. Leaders from relevant Ningbo government departments introduced the city's industrial foundation and policy support in areas such as new energy equipment manufacturing, green chemicals, and the circular economy, establishing a platform for North American companies to connect with local resources in Ningbo. Nearly 100 representatives from enterprises in Ningbo and the Yangtze River Delta region attended the conference, engaging in one-on-one business negotiations with the North American delegation in areas such as renewable energy development, carbon management, and smart grids, reaching multiple preliminary cooperation intentions.
November 7 – Shanghai
On November 7, as one of the key official side events of the 2025 China International Import Expo (CIIE), the Shanghai North America Clean Technology and Carbon Neutrality Roadshow and Matchmaking Event was successfully held in Shanghai. Leveraging the CIIE—China's largest international platform for technology and business cooperation—and its advantages in gathering global resources, the event established a high-level cooperation bridge for clean technology companies from China and North America, attracting representatives from over 100 energy and environmental protection enterprises and investment institutions across China.
The event received strong support from the Shanghai Municipal Commission of Commerce, the Pudong New Area People's Government, and the Jinshan District People's Government.
